why is that people think you can only be happy if you are married or in a relationship?
I ran into an old acquaintance just the other day that i’ve not seen in over a year. The very first question she asked me was if i was married? no, I replied. Well, are you seeing anyone? not really, I answered. Dating? she asked, with desperation in her voice. nope, I said, taking a break. I’m quite happy with where I am in my life. I told her. That seemed to put her mind at ease. But it got me thinking. why was that her first question and why was that more important than a question like am I happy or a simple what’s new.
It made me believe that my mission is more important than I thought. The world has to know that marriage=happy is not the only formula. In truth the divorce stats, daily rising like the deficit, is a clear indication that marriage=happy is not the final answer.
