Want Great Sex? Here is the Tasty Answer

passionAs long as people have been walking the planet and having sex they have been exploring certain foods as powerful aphrodisiacs. That is NOT what I’m talking about. What I am here to tell you  is the real deal. The foods you need to eat to truly amp up your bedroom game, turn your body into a lean mean love making machine and increase your sex drive, woo hoo!

Food can be many things. It is an expression of caring concern, like when mom brings you chicken soup for your stuffy nose. Food is a comfort in times of despair, nothing is better than a pint of Ben and Jerry’s to mend a broken heart. Food brings families together even if its only once a year for an engorging turkey and dressing dinner. Food is also sex, but it is not the labial look a like oyster or the sushi bar penis like looking giant clam. Fun food and funny, maybe even mildly arousing for you visual type folks, but I am talking about the mind-blowing sex food.

Cliche as it may sound our brains are our biggest sex organ. Especially for women. So the better we feel about our body the more likely we are to engage in the act of taking off our clothes and letting go. The healthier you eat, the better you feel, the more fit you become. The thinner you are the more likely you are to strip down. The tighter the abs, the likelier your partner’s arousal. It’s an exciting sexual snowball. You know what I’m talking about. Does anyone really want to their take their clothes off after downing a bag full of Reeses pieces? or can you imagine your nakedess following a healthy salad with a load of stamina inducing protien!

First and formost healthy eating will immediately improve your sexual attitude.

Certain nutrients will enhance your sexual prowess, says Lynn Edlen-Nezin, Ph.D., a clinical health psychologist who co-wrote ‘Great Food, Great Sex: The Three Food Factors for Sexual Fitness’ (Ballantine Books). As a rule of thumb, what is good for your heart is good for your genitals. It’s about blood flow baby. If your plumbing and your heart  is clear, above the waist, you’ll have better blood flow and more sensation below. First on the menu is Nitric Oxide. NO is a two atom gas made by the endothelium tissue in blood vessels in the lining of sex organs. When you become sexually aroused a neurotransmitter sends a message to the lining of the genitals to releaase NO. NO allows blood vessels to expand. Without an adequate amount of it guys can’t get erections and women can’t become engorged and lubricated. Arginine is an amino acid the body uses to create NO. Foods high in arginine are nuts like almonds and walnuts. Seafood like salmon, cod and halibut are high in Arginine too and contain omega-3 fatty acids which lower triglycerides that in turn increases dopamine production. Dopamine reduces the risk of depression, all pluses for the libido and orgasm potential. See how this happy healthy eating love thing is happening!

Another key ingredient to an arousal inducing diet are antioxidents. They keep your plumbing clean, and your cells healthy, by mopping up free radicals, molecules that wreak havoc on the body. Antioxident enriched foods come in a rainbow of colors including tomatoes, red peppers, garlic, spinach, broccoli, beets, berries and red grapes. And ready for this — another good source is dark chocolate. YAY! The high flavinoid chocolate improves circulation. It’s all about that blood flow baby!

And finally the trifecta of sexual inducing nutrients is a vitamin cocktail of magnesium and zinc to increase your level of free testoserone. Taking the recommended daily allowance of 1000 milligrams of calcium, 320 mg of magnesium and 8 mg of zinc will help put you in the mood. Add a daily multivitamin and glass of orange juice for extra vitamin c and you are there.

If you want to amp up your sex drive another notch cut back on the coffee, alcohol and cigs. Get ready for your own personal sexual revolution.

Your grass is green.
